The cruise lines don't help matters by asking questions that have everything
to do with marketing and nothing to do with Homeland Security or even
setting up your onboard account.
That said, when it is done correctly and on time, it does make the check-in
process go a lot faster. The days of waiting for hours in line waiting to
get on a ship are pretty much gone (unless you arrive at the pier at 9 AM).
