Gray Line of Alaska Unveils 2009 Tours and Packages Across Alaska and
the Yukon Territory
Customized tours for individuals and groups detailed in new 2009
brochure
SEATTLE, Sept. 12
A leader in Alaska and Yukon tourism with over sixty years experience,
Gray Line of Alaska has unveiled its 2009 brochure and is now taking
reservations for all 2009 tours. From venturing into the Arctic on a
multi-day adventure or booking a day tour in Denali, Gray Line
specializes in planning custom tours and day trips.
Highlights of the 2009 season include two new self-drive tours to
Homer and Valdez, two escorted land tour itineraries, the popular
Denali Sampler and the ability to customize any itinerary to suit each
traveler's schedule and desired route.
"What sets Gray Line apart is the ability to customize any tour," said
Mark Mumm, director of sales and marketing. "We have the knowledge and
infrastructure -- day boats, trains, motor coaches -- at our
fingertips. While we do have a number of pre-planned tours available,
we are proud of the expertise and personal attention we dedicate to
each guest or group to create their ideal travel itinerary or
customize an existing tour."
Self-Drive Tours
The pre-planned self-drive tours include a rental car, a set
itinerary, hotel reservations and select tours along the way such as a
glacier cruise. Homer by Car is a seven-day tour roundtrip from
Anchorage with stops in Seward, Alyeska and Homer. Valdez by Car is a
nine-day tour roundtrip from Anchorage with stops in Valdez,
Glennallen, Fairbanks and Denali.
Also offered again this year is Alaska by Car, a seven-day tour
roundtrip from Anchorage, and Alaska by Car with McKinley Explorer
which adds one day to visit Denali by train.
Escorted Group Tours
For those travelers who want to explore Alaska while enjoying the
camaraderie of a group, there are two pre-planned group tours
available. Guests traveling on an escorted tour enjoy the convenience
of a tour guide accompanying them for the entire trip to handle
logistics and provide information. The Escorted Great Land Explorer is
an eight-day tour from Fairbanks to Anchorage visiting Talkeetna,
Denali and Seward. The Escorted Alaska Explorer is an eight-day tour
roundtrip from Anchorage visiting Talkeetna, Denali, Alyeska and
Seward.
Denali Tours
Visiting Denali National Park for a chance to see wildlife and
spectacular Mt. McKinley is at the top of most people's list of things
to do in Alaska. Gray Line offers a number of tours. The most popular
is the three-day, two-night Denali Sampler. The tour begins with
overnight accommodations in Anchorage or Fairbanks before traveling
via a deluxe motor coach or on the luxurious McKinley Explorer train
to Denali. An extra night in Denali may be added and all transfers are
included.
Gray Line has a diverse selection of day tours and adventures
available for booking with a travel agent. Day trips are available in
Anchorage, Alyeska, Seward, Talkeetna, Denali National Park,
Fairbanks, Skagway, and Juneau, Alaska; and in Whitehorse and Dawson
City, Yukon Territory. Excursions include city tours, flightseeing,
rafting, jeep tours, wildlife sightseeing tours, museums and hiking.
Custom Group Tours
Besides planning custom tours for individual travelers, Gray Line of
Alaska also plans trips for groups. Whether touring the interior of
Alaska and the Yukon or taking a quick trip to Denali after a cruise,
groups can personalize the trip with the addition of sightseeing
tours, meals and beverages, parties, private shuttles and more.
Itineraries can be tailored to fit group needs and preferences
including flexible departure times and routes.
Gray Line of Alaska specializes in creating custom land tours in
Alaska and the Yukon. Arrangements and reservations for Alaska tour
packages can be made with your travel agent.
