Chrissy,
Personally, I would not call what Tom is doing harassment, more like a thorn
in the side, if you will. But this is to be expected when we get into
tit-for-tat conservations like this. The only thing that really changes in
situations such as this is the senders name, for if anyone ever noticed, the
dialogue pretty much remains the same in all these type threads, even when
the subject matter doesn't. And also thanks to Tom, he did supply us with a
list of who we need to watch, even though we all pretty much knew who they
all were to begin with.
Yet, thank goodness, more level headed thinking and logical conclusions are
now starting to surface in reference to the original question, based on the
responses of others. I do appreciate that, as I'm sure the OP does as well -
if she is even following this conservation anymore. For even Tom now has me
scratching my head as to some of his own so-called logic. He seems to change
his own rhetoric right in the middle of his own threads. But that's alright.
It's time to move on anyway. And equally as important, I certainly don't
answer to the likes of Tom or anyone else on this newsgroup.
The bottom line is, as we all know, more information is needed in order to
give a more definite suggestion. Yet, even so, if the OP identified their
age group, interests, lifestyle, budget, past vacations, etc., one can
almost bet many within this group would be all across the board with their
suggestions anyway. This is not meant to belittle, just the fact with many
past cruises under some belts, opinions are sometimes confused with facts.
As I pointed out, Carnival was just a suggestion as a way to draw additional
and needed information from the OP to make an more informed choice. The
business premise is, if more information is not forthcoming, then simply
make that decision for them. If wrong, the client will certainly tell you -
and hence, the information needed.
So, let's not assume that numbers simply translates into expertise, for
there is a big difference between a professional passenger and one running a
cruise agency. The passenger comes back because of money, the clients come
back because of service.
Happy sailing...
