the over riding point is that immigration puts pressure on housing
full stop. Theres no way round it. The poles etc may be living ten to
a flat right now, but thats still one flat less and it wont stay like
that. We are already into phase two with partners and babies arriving.
It doesnt matter if they live in cheap private lets or not, its still
one propery less for others and therefore puts pressure on public
housing. (In Peckham a lot of the thatcher sold off flats were
actually quickly passed on to dodgy "landlords" who filled them with
eatern europeans).
You have to accept the reality of the problems of immigration as well
as the advantages, even if it means sometimes having the same view on
something as some racist you dont like. To do otherwise plays into the
hands of the BNP.
