We didn't experience the security, but the experience seems similar. We
actually missed _two_ later connecting flights to Manchester while
waiting in line. At least we eventually got one though. I was talking to
people who were hoping to go to North America. With Northwest as a
partner, it might have been feasible for some of them to make
alternative arrangements, but as they'd been waiting so long, they'd
missed most of the remaining transatlantic flights...
It's not my worst fog delay. Braathens cancelled all their flights out
of Bergen for two days in 2001 due to fog, while some other airlines
were still managing to take off and land...
