first of all
you will get a SCHENGEN VISA
valid to enter the states belonging the SCHENGEN AREA
if your final destination is Italy. better to apply from the Italian
consulate
But if you are travelling to other states. maybe you get get a SCHENGEN
VISA from german Embassy or French Embassy and so on.
for sure. you will be required to provide proof that you have money enough
to live in Italy
Better if yr brother will make an invitation
such being the case. he might be asked to make a Bank Guarantee equal to the
amount required for yr stay in Italy.
The invitation is very easy to make. he just has to write a paper..
undersign it. and send it with a copy of passport with his signature.
