prospective MPs are nominated here by local branches of political
parties, or they can be independants. The Prime Minister or part
leader is nominated by the MPs or party members. There is a recent
trend for PMs to act rather like presidents, but parliament may one
day turn on them.

they hold "surgeries" to deal with constituents problems, the traffic
is in the opposite direction!
