The best way, as opposed to the cheapest, is by taxi.
A good compromise is to take the Heathrow Express
to Paddington if your hotel is central London.

Yes the tube does go that far, but it is cumbersome if you have
luggage and may get crowded.

The best train for London to Paris is the Eurostar.
If you have time and would like to see some of the countryside
of SouthEast England, you can take a train to Dover and then
take a ferry as a passenger to one of the French ports, a relaxing
and different way to get to Paris.
