Not to quibble too much, but we took that route some years back on a
Sunday morning. Had good views of Rochester and Canterbury.
and the Kentish countryside, oasthouses, marsh sheep etc.
Dover itself was interesting and the French ferry called 'Manet'
was a dream, spacious and smooth sailing. Then the trip
through the French countryside on the way to Paris
is also of interest for the first time visitor.
