But for many parts of central London, the Underground from H'row will be as
quick as H'row Express plus tube or cab from Paddington. When living near
H'row, I just once tried the H'row Express, when there was a half-price
offer, and found that from Piccadilly Circus there was no significant time
difference, taking into account the longer potential wait between trains and
the time taken in changing from tube to train (even without shifting
luggage) at Paddington. I would say that the extra cost is probably only
worthwhile if your final destination in Lodon is very close to Paddington.
