Google 'Scotland herald restaurants' and you will find a whole wodge of
them. The Glasgow Herald is probably the best guide to eating out in
Scotland. They do an 'Eating Out' supplement on a Friday which has a totem
pole of top restaurants which changes as chefs join it or fall off it. I
don't know if you can get it on line but, if you are stuck, post an email
address and I'll scan it for you.

You need to be a bit circumspect though. I live just across the fields from
one that just got awarded a Michelin Star a few weeks ago and I wouldn't go
near it. It is the Champany in Linlithgow. The steaks are really good in the
'Chop & Ale House' part but the restaurant is grossly over rated. The
service is terrible and it is prohibitively expensive.
