It's not an encylcopaedia in the traditional sense. More a compendium
of random information. I suspect Indians are among the largest, if not
the largest, group of contributors now.

Parts of Wikipedia relating to the history of India in the past hundred
years are best described as biased.

Some of it is just downright lies, although after a recent controversy the
articles relating to the 'Indian National Army' have all been toned down
somewhat...

This seems to relate to the need in modern India to have some sort of
'Liberation mythos'.

The reality, that India became independent because of the efforts of
Oxbridge intellectuals and clever lawyers (on both sides) is just not
acceptable anymore.
