It is less applicable in large aircraft because there is less hand-flying of
the aircraft and one depends more on instruments even when hand-flying it.
Large aircraft are best flown by the numbers.

Realism is affecte by frame rates, also. If you have a very powerful PC that
can maintain frame rates of 50-60 fps, the realism is greatly enhanced,
because the sim can calculate the movements of the aircraft more frequently,
and many smaller movements that would otherwise be lost at low frame rates
suddenly become significant. At 60 fps the realism can come as a surprise
even to real-world pilots.
