I have never seen a train that was remotely that full.

Not all, but many. What I've seen are the coin lockers.

I don't think the night trains switch. At least the one time I went on
one, it did simply pull over an wait for a long while, while people
'slept'. Except the oil fumes got so strong, it work me up. Read that
again. That's some STRONG odor. I could hardly breathe. I highly
recommend against night trains.

Get a car, man. There is so much more freedom in a car.

Again, I only did it the once, but I gather the tickets are hard to get
all in one 6-bed cubicle. You'd probably have to buy the 6th bed to
avoid a stranger.
