Many are on the uplands (4-6k feet) where you can see a fair distance ahead.
When you get to the steep and twisty bits it can get a bit hairy and be
careful of the dirt roads with the drainage ridges.

In the winter a lot of the ferry routes become ice roads, that can be fun too :-)
