I was a tech in the late '60s, doing rookies training after
graduating from Radio School in Laverton.
Some of our guys acted like it was a waste of time for us.
One of the instructors had a cartoon on his wall. A picture
of a guy sitting at his work-bench soldering some plugs
talking over his shoulder to a VC about to stick a bayonet
through his back, with the caption "you can't kill me, I'm a
technical bod".
We got the message.
Cheers, Alan, Australia
