I remember years ago seeing pics of so-called 'revolutionary' new
props in old copies of Popular Science [or Popular Mechanics] that had
radically curved props replacing the turbofans of DC9s etc. Of course
the propellors were 'pusher-props' on extended pylons further out from
the fuselage. Anyone remember what the consenus of that idea was,
then and now?
