Instead of Lyon, Grenoble, consider Annecy (passing through the Aravis
moutain Grand Bornand, La Clusaz).
From Carcassone go to Mirepoix (not far from Toulouse) and Foix and cross
the Pyrenees in Andorra). If you have enough time wander through the
Aragon spanish Pyrenees.
