Don't miss Normandy. There's so much to see. From Paris upwards; Giverny
(Monets home and garden), Rouen (Joan of arcs burning site), Honfleur
(XVIc port), Caen (Chateu Abbeys, shops),Bayeux (Tapestry and base for
the d day landings),Mont St Michel (the eighth wonder of the world).
You might even consider going as far as St Malo in brittany.
The Normandy invasion beaches are a must. The kids will love Point du
Hoc which has been left as it was when the Rangers scaled the 10ft high
cliffs to attack a gun battery. The American cemetery with the 10000
white marble crosses is awesome.
Take a guided tour or a guide or audio guide to get the most out of your
visit.

The Loire chateaux are interesting as well.
