It's safe, but it's a fairly tiring way to travel - I found that I was spending
an awful lot of time trudging along corridors, up and down escalators - and
it's rare to be able to get a seat, too.

And if you're spending a lot of time on it, whizzing around underground, you
tend to lose perspective of the city. I found that, after a while, I preferred
to use the buses, where I could, because you get a great view of the place,
especially from the upper deck.
