Germany/Austria has to live down two world wars first! There is still a
perception of Germany as in "Allo Allo". I also think the perception of
German food and drink as at least as plain as our own traditional food,
linked with quaffing huge jugs of lager in lederhosen while an oomphah band
plays. Cars yes, food and drink no.
