Some sort of finance ministry or something today...???

The Allies early in the war were pretty frustrated by the relative
ineffectiveness of their Berlin bombing raids. Damage could be controlled
and repaired fairly quickly...life went on.

A lot of damage was done by Soviet bombardment ("Stalin organs"...) during
the final days of the war, maybe more even than was done by RAF and USAAF
bombing...does anyone know?

IIRC THF had commercial service right up into the spring of 1945, Lufthansa
flights were flown to neutral Stockholm...
