Bandol is not only a beach resort, but has been the center of a nice
wineyard since the 3th century BC when greeks imported the wine there.
Bandol wines are a bit expensive compared to the nearby rosé de Provence,
but of a steadier quality.

The nearby (11 km, 7 miles) medieval town of Le Castellet is located in
the middle of this wineyard. Although very touristy, it is really worth
the visit. Many more top of hill villages around, such as Evenos, Giens
or Sollies village.
