Large enough for normal size suitcases like the ones you would take on an
airplane. So unless you travel with a coffin-sized box you won't have
problems storing it ;-)

The Hotel woul be the cheaper way to store your things, they normally don't
charge anything for it, if you book a room there later on. Maybe you can
check with them beforehand, if they open at 8 a.m. (don't know how far the
hotel is from the train station, but Baden-Baden ist not really that big,
so it shouldn't be a problem).
