Baden-Baden isn't big but large and central parts are around 4km from the
railway station. Used to be a connecting 4,3km long railway but that
closed many years ago. So it's best for the o.p to know where the hotel
is situated.
But otherwise there's typically no problem to store luggage at the hotel on
arrival
and I agree that lockers near always can take a normal suitcase
