Where are you now?
My American relatives, booked on line with SIXT
my advices is AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE
Also pay for you rental there , as if the same thing happened with
my lot they will increase the charge here and tell you that you have
to take it up back home to sort out the difference.
so it might pay you to phone your local branch of whatever hire
company and then to phone the IRish one to check rates.
Check all details including hidden costs, SIXT had a $200 access
charge, the plastic cover over the wing mirror of their hire car was
knocked off and run over by a lorry, the driver said it was his
fault and that they company would pay , the lorry company honoured
its word and paid the hire company for a replacement £45 but the
hire company still insisted that my lot could not have their £200
deposit back because they classed that as damage.
Also see if you can hire the car for more days than you need it and
get the cheaper rate, there is not normally a charge for returning
the care early :-) so you can get a hire for... say 3 days at the 5
day rate and get a refund for the days not used :-)
Lastly enjoy your stay !!
