While I didn't get it in writing, I did phone Mastercard and they confirmed
that they would.

I have a MC that is platinum in color. Continental calls it a World card. I
did bust off the side mirror on the curb side of the car. First the glass
got broken by a branch sticking out. Then the case broke off from an
illegally parked car that did not retract its mirror. I didn't go back for
the case. So I returned the car with basically a missing mirror. I fessed
up that the mirror was missing. I was never charged. I presume Atlas
collected from MC.

I was charged for picking up the car at DUB and returning it at SNN. This
wasn't on the orginal quote. Then I was charged for a full tank of petrol,
and any extra left in the tank upon return was a freebie for them.
