Credit cards are accepted as well. Amex not as much as Visa but you can
definitely use credit cards in many restaurants.

Maybe take a couple of hundred dollars just in case you can't get cash
from ATM but not likely.

Better to take ATM cards from a couple of different banks if possible.
I have an eTrade Platinum debit card which refunds all ATM fees anywhere
in the world.
