Italians don't usually ignore potential customers, though. A fax is
better than a phone call if you don't speak Italian, because the
recipient can find someone to answer it who knows the language the fax
is written in.

I don't consider a fax to be outmoded technology, anyway. Usually you
can send a fax from your computer.
