Sounds related to German "Bahn" (as in Strassenbahn or Eisenbahn ...
which resembles italian "ferroVIA", french "CHEMIN de fer", russian
"zheleznaja DOROGA" but unlike English "railway" not "ironway" ... also
"via", "way" and "Weg" sound all related, wonder why is not Eisenweg),
which, outside of the "rail" context, renders in italian as "pista".
