As of today (15th November 2006):
Between 15th November and the 15th March goods vehicles over 3,5 t, all
busses and articulated vehicles must have winter tyres fitted (min tread
5/6mm) on at least one driven axle and must carry snow chains.

There is no general compulsory fitting of winter tyres for other vehicles
(eg, cars, bikes, campervans)
