That's the controversial bit. It depends on the local weather conditions at
the time of the incident and the interpretation of "suitable". Handed to
the lawyers on a plate.

The Austrian law only applies to HGV'S and busses really - shouldn't affect
many here hopefully. This subject comes up here every other year here and
the general opinion is that nothing is likely to change in the near future
for cars. Similarly Switzerland, who have also recently re-affirmed their
decision not to introduce a similar law for cars.
