We want to pick up a rental car in Rome, or nearby Rome, in order to
travel outside of Rome. We are a bit afraid of having to deal with Rome
traffic.

Is there a nearby suburb with easy train or bus access where we could
pick up a car, and not be too far from the open roads?????? We will
likely travel to Umbria first.
