I tend to go to the cheap simple restaurants in Barcelona, usually
spending 9 euro for everything (3 courses and a drink) and am very happy
with that. On the occasion I've gone for something fancier, I've
generally not been that impressed- or rather, haven't thought it worth
the extra.

BTW, on the subject of restaurants, we walked out of one in Manchester
on Saturday night, despite the main courses having just been put down on
the table. We said we thought the service was a disgrace and walked out.
The manager said he was extremely sorry, and that was that... The
problem was finding another place to eat. Despite the growth of
restaurants in the city, you won't get a table on a Saturday unless
you've booked in advance. We made do with some goulash from one of the
Christmas markets... :)
