Get a cover from www.insurance4carhire.co.uk for £51.45. 12th month
excess/deductible insurance for the whole of Europe, and covers damage to
wheels, tyres, windows and underside as well.
www.autoeurope.com is pretty competitive. Sign in your country of residence
as France, Germany or UK rather than US to get the best price.
Other brokers I've used successfully include www.carhire4less.co.uk (part of
holidayautos and kemwel, but better prices), www.pelicancarhire.co.uk and
www.novacarhire.com. www.carjet.com is good as well.
