I've done it now with the help of the online manual.

OK source list is the one down the left I assume

that doesn't appear to exist

that I had done in the summary tab, there isn't a preferences window.

it never occurred to me to drag titles to the word ipod on the left, I
would have thought there would also be menu or right click option, oh
well at least it works although nothing is fing flashing red

that does exist although there's a big eject icon bottom right where
it says preferences are. And online it allowed me to tell the itunes
shop to f off permentaly :-)
Lets hope she enjoys using it more than I enjoyed setting it up, that
must be four hours.
