The OP will very likely bypass the Vatican Museum's 'general public'
queue and use the 'tour group' queue with Perillo Tours.
And the tour groups use the Sistine Chapel's 'tour groups' only exit
and head right into St. Peter's bypassing the security queue.
Starting Jan 2' 07 the good news for these large tour groups (if
registered) is they will have an exclusive entrance time from 0800-1000.
The bad news is, the general public's new opening time is 1000 with the
same closing hours:(.
Which really sucks, so now from Nov-Feb (excluding ~Xmas & New Year)
the museums are only open 3:45 with the last entrance at 1220.
And in the peak season it's only open 6:45.
And the ticket price is going up from =8012 to =8013.

The OP will very likely also bypass the general public queue and his
group will use the 'tour group' entrance.
But they will still have to queue for the Security Check.
Al B; I caught 3 long major downpours in Rome last Apr/May, the Via
Sacra in the Forum turned into a fast flowing river, ya could have
surfed it:). Regards, Walter
