99% of residents stated their loyalty to their offshore status.
Gibraltarians couldn't give less of a rat's ass about GB. They don't
even speak english for Christ Sake. Keeping their current status allows
them to dedicate themselves to the most unethical but very profitable
business of money laundering. Gibraltar is the official biggest money
laundering center in the world. There are more than 4 companies
registered in Gibraltar for every inhabitant of the rock. By the way
about 80% of the people that claim residence in the rock actually live
in Spain (Costa del Sol) but pay no taxes. That's why they are so
fiercely "british".
If GB is forced by the EU to change the financial status of the rock,
Gibraltarians will be asking for independence at the drop of a hat
(something that it is utterly impossible by the same Treaty that awards
them their current special status). Gibraltarians vote and defend their
way of living not their so called "nationality" (after all they are all
of Maltese and Corsican ascendency. The original population left when
the british invaded).).

The Rock will fall like ripe fruit. It stinks too bad.
