Well, I was thinking that "supermarket worker" (which is how he's been
described) doesn't usually equate to BMW driver.

Indeed. Though (if it comes to that) my impression is that not-guilty
pleas are fairly unusual in these cases.
There's the oddest line in the Sunday Mirror interview (which I just read
online). This is the interviewer speaking:
"You have an English accent, not the same as other people from Ipswich or
Norwich."
So what kind of accent does he think they have?!
