Alternatively, click on the song (make sure the left column is selected
to "Music" under "LIBRARY" as opposed to one of the "PLAYLISTS" on the
bottom half of the left column) to select it and then go to the File
menu and there should be a "Get Info" selection. Right next to it
should be a keyboard shortcut, probably Alt-I or Control-I.
That will bring up the info for that song, including the ID3 panel,
which is the standard used to tag MP3 files. It will have the various
fields including the genre of the song you want. There you can choose
one of the genres in the preset popup or type in your own.
If you look around, there are probably shareware or freeware ID3 editors
so you can do this in something other than iTunes. |
