Of course, the fact that most Sunnis in the Baghdad region are now
organising themselves to fight the Shia militia, and telling the Al
Qaeda fanatics to get stuffed, might have something to do with it.....
They won't fight the Amercans if they keep out of Sunni areas. But if
the Americans sweep these areas in company with Shia units, there will
be trouble.
Al Qaeda in Iraq is still largely an irrelevance.
