Sure it does, it is part of the ring wing conspiracy in using
the "think tanks" of America. They all lie in their fashion.
They have opinions and they inform people in the government
of their opinions. They are lobbying for particular policies.
The name of the tank itself shows its orientation as not
being a "think tank", AEI = American Enterprise Institute.
Any American think tank with a name like that, using "Enterprise",
will be suspect. AEI takes on a number of scholars who can't
compete in the academic market place of ideas which are published
in peer review journals. AEI employs people like the notorious
Charles Alan Murray, co-author of the junk science "The Bell Curve",
which is a book, and books do get published without
peer review. Otherwise he publishes in the great "intellectual"
magazines or newspqpers like the WSJ or the National Review.
Who do people like that get their money from? Murray has received grants
from the right-wing Bradley Foundation which aided in writing the Bell
Curve. He is merely one of many "scholars" which AEI sponsors.
The AEI says its mission is "to defend the principles and improve the
institutions of American freedom and democratic capitalism--limited
government---
For many American right wingers, capitalism is the same as freedom.
Piggy is a capitalist although hypocritically he now brags about
almost being socialist since he is profiting by the French medical
care system. He never worked in France and never paid social security
health insurance taxes, as I have, but he is sponging off us French
now via his wife.
