Most people in NA have TV's rather than easels:).
I know this is a losing battle but do you honestly think that more
people in NA have been *exposed* to this double-N spelling from it being
a paint pigment or an almost decade long major media ad campaign for a
minivan?
Plus actually seeing these vehicles on the roads and in parking lots
with the 'Sienna' name on them.
My guess is, if someone knows that Burnt Sienna and Raw Sienna are
paint pigments the odds are that they will know that Siena is a city in
Italy.
