I had the amount of US $274.26 charged to my Nationwide Visa card on 20
February. Nationwide charged me GBP £141.45. The Interbank rate was quoted
for 20 February (at www.oanda.com) as $1 = GBP £0.51260. I reckon that I
paid about 80 pence over the Interbank rate, which suggests that Visa took
about 0.56 per cent commission.
