Treat Parisians with respect and they will respond accordingly!

The myth of the rude Parisians - I've not met a single one! Some
assistants in the cheaper shops can be rather brusque, otherwise I've
found Parisians helpful and lively. What they love is that you should
engage with them properly and they put up signs to encourage it:
N'Avez Pas Peur is currently everywhere. Another: Le beau est toujours
bizarre (Baudelaire). A man in Passy did an about-turn to escort me to
the door of Balzac's house a good minute away. One Parisienne went out
of her way to explain the glories on offer in a Greek deli nearby.
