Hawaii was attacked but not invaded. The Japanese intended to invade
Midway but were stopped. The islands up north were actually invaded and
occupied for a while. Then the Japanese got nervous and pulled out.
Pearl Harbor had little to do with the atomic bombing. Losses at
Okinawa probably had more influence.
