Driving in Italy is not easy or stress free.
Italian drivers tend to travel very fast, use the horn a lot and don't mind
the odd bump on their paintwork.
Your hire company doesn't think like that.
So be very careful...
Both pairs of US friends I know who have driven there have found it very
hard work compared to driving in the USA.
Expect your journeys to take longer and you will be tired after them.
Have fun, Italy is a nice place and the people are very friendly. Most
people under thirty years of age have studied English at school so you
shouldn't have too many problems being understood.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Barbeques on fire by the chalets past the castle headland
I watched the gift shops glitter in the darkness off the Newborough gate
All these moments will be lost in time, like icecream on the beach
Time for tea.
