>Oh, well, Tatie Danielle hates *everyone*.
I saw Tatie Danielle back when it came out and loved it. I remember
thinking how different Americans and Europeans are. A movie like that
would never get made in the US. Americans want their entertainment
neatly packaged and whitewashed, and it always has to have a happy
ending. For some reason Americans can't handle reality and the
unpleasantness of real life. The French, on the other hand, seem to
revel in it and have raised it to an art form. I always go to see any
French movie that comes out in the US. I always come out depressed,
but I love it. |
