And milk, in most cases. Milk delivered by a milkman is, in my experience
invariably delivered in pint bottles, and milk in "big name" supermarkets is
sold in multiples of pints (typically 1, 2, 4 and 6 pint plastic bottles),
although the foreign-owned budget supermarkets (Lidl, Aldi, Netto) tend to
sell in litres, as do some of the "corner shop" chains like Spar.

Usually, yes, bottled beer tends to be sold in metric measurements (330 or
500 ml.) but imperial pint bottles are occasionally found. Where draught
beer is concerned, the government has recently allowed 1/3 pint glasses to
be used. Some CAMRA beer festivals use the to allow punters to try more
brews while moderating their total intake.
