Now I remember 1/3rd pint glasses being used in the 'Tap and Spile' chain
years ago, so you could try more different beers, about ten years ago.
Were they breaking some obscure law?
Did anyone actually care?
As a general rule the police have better things to do than chase people for
silly things like that, although the local Trading Standards people do tend
to be a touch anal about stuff like this...
On the other hand they did, at one time, spend an awful lot of time being
laughed out of court by magistrates saying 'stop being silly'...
Perhaps they've loosened up a bit...
